Lt. Gen (Dr.) N.S. Malik PVSM

Lt. Gen (Dr.) N.S. Malik PVSM Lt. Gen. Dr. Malik retired as Deputy Chief of the Army Staff in the year 1998. He was responsible for all the key aspects of the Indian Army, including operational and logistics planning, budgetary management, research and development for all weapons and equipment. He was also responsible for the training and liaising with other forces. He was deputed to work with the Defense Research & Development organization, and had undergone four years of training at the Frunze Military Academy, Moscow. He also served as honorary ADC to the President of India. Gen. Malik even trained the Iraq Army Officers as an adviser for their Mechanized Forces at Baghdad. Lt. Gen. Malik has also been a presenter on Disaster Management for “Pacific Area Senior Officers Logistics Seminar” in Australia. In recognition of his thirty-eight year of meritorious service, he was awarded the prestigious PVSM, the utmost Peacetime award for “Distinguished Service of Exceptional Order” in India.
